Centrum 1795 is an initiative of the

Atelier van het Zuiden

Since the beginning of 2019, the Atelier van het Zuiden has been creating visual perspectives focused on the theme of ‘connection’. In 2020, the studio began collaborating with the Syrian restaurant De keuken van Damascus, and in 2021, it began visualizing the political history of the Netherlands with the establishment of Centrum 1795.

Since its inception, the Atelier van het Zuiden has evolved into a contemporary space where art, culture, gastronomy, history, and education converge.

Centrum 1795 is an initiative of the Atelier van het Zuiden

The Atelier van het Zuiden was founded in early 2019 and is a workspace for visual perspectives.

Its goal is to explore how connections can be made in a polarizing reality. The concept of 'relationships' is central to this.

One of the studio's themes is working with geometry. Since the beginning of 2019, a series of visual perspectives has been created on canvas or paper, based on so-called 'geometric principles'.

In 2021, the Atelier van het Zuiden began establishing Centrum 1795.
